About Me

Tara Punter PR, (a graduate of mine no less!) kindly wrote this about me –

“Dr Tracey Cole, one of the the UK’s leading equestrian-focused NLP and Hypnosis Trainers and Master Coaches is a former research scientist, university lecturer and teacher who, since 2012 has taken her career on a new path to spread the word about the powerful benefits of NLP, NLP Coaching, Create your Future® and Hypnosis.

As a keen equestrian and former nervous competitor, it is no surprise that she loves to help riders of all levels combat nerves and ride to the very best of their ability and empower instructors to deliver incredible coaching.

Dr. Tracey is the name behind the Empowered Equestrian™ Coach Training. This totally unique programme delivers riders, coaches and instructors the confidence and focus they need to take their personal performance or business to the next level. The Empowered Equestrian™ Coach Training ensures participants will develop the mindset tools they need to succeed and the skills to be an exceptional equestrian mental coach, helping others to overcome their personal barriers.”

In my own words…

Initially, as a school teacher, I was looking for methods to help students gain confidence and engage in their studies; I was also in need of a confidence boost to help me enjoy my horse riding more. As a former scientist (I’m a BSc and PhD in Biochemistry) I had some healthy scepticism: would this work on me? I knew that if it did, there really was something very special about this set of techniques. It’s not that I’m stubborn, more that my riding nerves were pretty engrained!

I did some research on NLP and enrolled on a Practitioner course. Whilst on the training, my fears were permanently removed. I was so surprised that the fear evaporated, it was a true light bulb moment; it convinced me of the huge benefits of NLP. Inspired by the amazing results I was obtaining personally and professionally, I trained to become a certified Master Practitioner and Coach of NLP, Time Line Therapy® and Hypnotherapy.

I attended truly life-changing NLP and Hypnosis trainer’s training courses in Henderson, Nevada, run and assessed by Master Trainers Drs. Tad and Adriana James. Not only is this a very elite training, it was run by the creator of NLP Coaching and Time Line Therapy®, Tad James. The courses were tough, yet exhilarating and it was one of my proudest moments to score 100% in the gruelling 7 hour non-stop exam. There was just one comment on my practical assessments: “Perfect, Tracey.” I could have cried, it was surreal.

I’m a Member of the American Board of NLP, the Time Line Therapy® Association and the American Board of Hypnotherapy.

I currently work with people suffering from stress, depression, phobias, anxiety…. as well as business owners who need a mindset makeover to overcome self-sabotage and imposter syndrome … in fact any issue where a change of mindset is needed. But I’m probably best known for working with equestrians. I really enjoy working with professional and recreational riders of all levels and specialisms, helping them to ride the way they know they can!

I work internationally – via Zoom, as well as taking annual trips to Andalusia to lead a riding confidence course. My clients and graduates have been from from Australasia, Continental Europe, North and South America, the Middle East, Africa and of course, the UK and Ireland. I’ve even been known to have clients from where I live, in Leek, near to the Peak District.

Tracey Cole Mindset Coach and Mindset Trainer

As an NLP Trainer, I love that I can now reach trainees in any corner of the world too. I am passionate about mindset being the key to success in most areas of life, business and sport. Training in mindset and seeing my graduates fly the nest so to speak, gives me such a huge surge of pride for them; I know that the training is rigorous and gives them the best start in their own personal development and/or as top coaches of the future. I wouldn’t feel I was doing my job if I didn’t give graduates the option to have on-going support, either in terms of mentoring or as more informal chats and email help, for as long as they need it.

I have a passion for horses and riding and all things equestrian (you may have guessed!). The picture is of my lovely much-missed bay thoroughbred Tiggy and her partner in crime, Lottie.
